Elderly care

Elderly care is responsible for various kinds of care, social care and service for people over the age of 65. The aim is to offer health and social care around the clock so that elderly people can remain in their own homes even if they are ill or have some form of disability. Sheltered housing is also offered for people whose needs as regards health and social care are so great that they cannot remain at home.

Unaccompanied refugee children

Children who come to Sweden without a parent or guardian need a trustee to represent them. It is the Chief Guardian Committee’s task to appoint a trustee. The trustee/administrator’s task is to ensure that the child’s rights are respected. This might for example be a matter of representing the child in contact with authorities or when making applications or appeals.
